Five Kaizer Chiefs players are set to leave Kaizer Chiefs in January.
With the January Transfer Window fast approaching, there’s going to be alot of changes amongst PSL teams as the league will be more competitive in the second round.
One of the teams expected to go heavily in the January transfer window is 16th placed Cape Town Spurs, as they have only managed to get just 1 win a win which came as a surprise as they beat Soweto giant Orlando Pirates.
Cape Town Spurs have already been linked with a number of players in the PSL, and they will be looking to save their PSL status in the second round as the PSL gets to a close.
Kaizer Chiefs have not started the season well, having being eliminated in all two Cup competitions, the MTN8 losing to Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi’s a game many believe Amakhosi were hard done, their second loss which count them out of the Carling Knockout Cup came last month against AmaZulu as an 87th minute goal from Fielis sealed the deal for Usuthu.
With all that being said Kaizer Chiefs is planning to make changes in their squad in terms of incomings, but the headlines going into January would be the outgoings.
Kaizer Chiefs currently have a number of players who are out favour within the team, while many have found game time hard to come.
A source ar SSnews reveals that Kaizer Chiefs Midfielder Sabelo Radebe is receiving interest from PSL teams, Richards Bay FC is one of the players interested in the players services while Polokwane City is also said to have inquiried, it will be interesting to see how Kaizer Chiefs will approach the Richards Bay interest as we can confirm they are also looking for a new goalkeeper, Richards Bay goalkeeper Salim Magoola is also one of the coaches they are eyeing and the Sabelo Radebe interest may end up working in their advantage.
SSnews understands that Kaizer Chiefs management do not want to lose a talented player like Sabelo Radebe, but they will be happy to facilitate a loan deal for him to get game time elsewhere.
Happy Mashiane is also one of the player’s whose future is being discussed, the Kaizer Chiefs exciting wing back burst into the PSL under coach Gavin Hunt playing a pivotal role in the Clubs CAF season whereby they reached the final and broke several records, the young Defender seems to have been down the pecking order as the last three coaches did not even prefer him, what is worrying is that even his development coach did not consider him during his stint as the Clubs head coach.
Happy Mashiane is said to be happy at Chiefs, but willing to leave only if its on loan, though there’s no significant interest from rivals at the moment it is expected that he will be place in the transfer list.
George Matlou is one of the players facing an uncertain future, his future at the Club has taken an interesting turn of events, it was revealed couple of weeks back that the Club was considering offering him a new 2years contract but new development has made the Club backtrack on its decision, George Matlou’s future is more likely to be decided by the incoming coach who will take over.
A person who will be dominating the headlines is Colombian forward Jasond Gonzalez, Gonzalez has failed to impress in his short stint as he joined this season, the striker is yet to score a goal for Kaizer Chiefs despite having played over 5games, while the Club struggles in attack.
Siyethemba Sithebe has seen less game time this season, but mainly due to his injuries but the arrival of OX Mthethwa means he has fallend down the pecking order, Sithebe has generated interest from KZN Clubs Royal AM and Golden Arrows and Kaizer Chiefs is willing to let him go in January.
