Former Orlando Pirates winger Wayde Jooste has followed Rowan Human to join AmaZulu.
According to the iDiski Times sources, Jooste was supposed to feature in the final of the KZN Premier’s Cup against Richards Bay but was ruled out due to a bout of flu.
As previously reported by this website, the former Pirates wing-back joined Usuthu for pre-season training and impressed new head coach Pablo Franco Martin.
Jooste was without a club after leaving Maritzburg United, with the KwaZulu-Natal club having suffered relegation via the play-offs last term.
The 31-year-old was signed by the Team of Choice following the arrival of coach Fadlu Davids to replace John Maduka in November last year.
Before he joined Maritzburg, Jooste had trained with SuperSport United under the watchful eyes of coach Gavin Hunt, but the Tshwane giants couldn’t agree on the financial terms with the former Pirates right-back.
Jooste, in the career that started at Bloemfontein Celtic in the 2013/14 season under Ernst Middendorp, has featured in 157 matches in all competitions, scoring seven goals in the process, winning the MTN8 with Pirates in the 2020/21 season.
He joins Celimpilo Ngema, Mfanafuthi Mkhize, Mondli Mbanjwa and Human as new players ahead of the 2023/24 season under Spanish coach Martin.
Some Orlando Pirates Supporters were very sad when Wayde Jooste left the club because he was one of the key players in the Left Wing Back Position And after Orlando Pirates he left to play for Maritzburg United Football Club and now he is playing for Amazulu Football to make his mark.
Wayne Jooste left Maritzburg United because the club is now relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship and now Wayde Jooste wanted to continue in the Dstv Premiership where he can make a name for himself and continue with his experience.
Amazulu Football Club were delighted for the signing of Wayde jooste because he is a very good player and he has so much experience which can help the club.
