Maritzburg United midfielder Rowan Human is closing in on his next move after head coach Zipho Dlangalala suggested he won’t be part of their squad this season.
Human, 22, ranks as one of the country’s most promising talents and interest was rife after the relegation of Maritzburg from the DStv Premiership.
Kaizer Chiefs, AmaZulu, SuperSport United and Cape Town Spurs were among those who expressed interest in his services with Usuthu and Chiefs said to have been the first to submit official offers to The Team of Choice.
When asked by iDiski Times about the notable absence of Human from their squad at the KZN Premier’s Cup, Dlangalala stated: “I have said what I have said, that is that.
“What you see [in the team sheet that beat Royal AM 4-2 on penalties] is the Maritzburg here plus the players that we are trying to recruit to bring to the club.”
Upon further investigation, sources within AmaZulu management claimed they are confident they can land Human as their marquee signing.
“We heard of the Chiefs interest in the media, but Pablo [Franco Martin] likes the profile of Human, we feel he can become an important part of this project,” they stated to iDiski Times on Sunday.
Human’s representatives at SSG were unavailable for comment on the situation at the time of publishing.
The South Africa international midfielder scored four goals and registered four assists for United in 52 games after his move from Israeli giants Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Rowan Human was mostly expected to play for Kaizer Chiefs Football Club because he also confirmed on Radio2000 that the club that he wants to play for is only Kaizer Chiefs Football Club.
But at the moment Amazulu Football Club payed a better fee than the other clubs such as Kaizer Chiefs Football Club,Cape Town Spurs and Supersport United.
