Kaizer Chiefs is about to bid a fond farewell to an Amakhosi legend.
According to SoccerLaduma, Amakhosi veteran Erick Mathoho will depart Naturena when his contract expires in June.
For the past 11 years (he will turn 11 at the end of the season), Mathoho has been the driving force behind the Soweto giants
The tall and strong defender’s contract will not be extended when it expires at the end of June, according to reliable insider sources.
“Mathoho is as good as gone at Chiefs. It is just a matter of the club making an official announcement,” confirmed a relevant source on the same publication
Furthermore, Mathoho is already aware of this information.
“His contract won’t be renewed and he knows that already as he has been informed. But the good news for him is that he won’t be short of offers. There are clubs that are already showing interest in him and TS Galaxy is one of the frontrunners to sign him,” the source added
