AmaZulu have completed the signing of Mamelodi Sundowns defender Sifiso Ngobeni on a six-month loan deal, as previously reported by iDiski Times.
Ngobeni, 26, has been struggling for game-time at Sundowns since joining the club from Bloemfontein Celtic three years ago.
The left full-back was loaned out in January 2022 for six months to SuperSport United but returned to the club the following season.
The 26-year-old has only made two appearances this season and was brought in by Usuthu to compete with Riaan Hanamub, who is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations.
“I am very happy to join AmaZulu. I am looking forward to working hard, to please the fans and the president of the club. I am happy that I’ll be meeting up with the right people so that we can help the team to rise,” he told the club’s media department.
“The team has a lot of history, and we need to bring joy to the fans so that they can be happy about the club this season by finishing up in the top 4.”
Sifiso Ngobeni hopes that he will gain a lot of experience while at AmaZulu Football Club since he is expected to get enough game time at the KwaZulu-Natal club.
AmaZulu Football Club head coach by the name of Pablo Franco Martin is very happy for the signing of Sifiso Ngobeni since the player has a lot of experience from Bloemfontein Celtic Football Club to Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club then now he is on loan at AmaZulu Football Club.
Sifiso Ngobeni will now compete with Ryan Hanamub in the left back position which will be a hard thing to swallow since Hanamub is a regular starter At AmaZulu Football Club and one of the key players at the club.
AmaZulu Football Club will now make a further statement on which players they will sign.
