Mduduzi Mdantsane and Kaizer Chiefs have been associated for the past two seasons or so. Is a final agreement on the relocation expected?
A recent report claims that the Citizens are eager to offload Mdantsane, who has one year left on his contract, after Amakhosi came dangerously close to signing the 28-year-old offensive midfielder in Septembeb.
When Amakhosi learned that Mdantsane still had a year left on his City contract in September, they decided against the deal, the article continued.
The Cape club must now choose between offering a new, three-year contract or selling to the Chiefs.
“Kaizer Chiefs are about to take a second bite at Cape Town City star, Mduduzi Mdantsane, a close ThisIsFootball.Africa source has revealed to Mr Scoops,” the publication said.
“Chiefs thought he would be on a free, only to learn that City had a year option on his contract and they would have to pay a transfer fee to get his signature,” the report added
