There is an update regarding twenty two Moroka Swallows FC players who parted ways with the The Dube Birds few days ago.
The update is that Moroka Swallows FC held a press conference for media platforms regarding the issue yesterday.
In case you didn’t know, the list of players who have been released by Moroka Swallows FC management has been revealed.
Moroka Swallows have dismissed 22 players who went on strike due to unpaid salaries and caused the team to lose six points in December, as first reported by Robert Marawa on VumaFM.
Swallows has been in the news lately for mostly off-the-field issues. The Dube Birds didn’t play their last two DStv Premiership matches in December after players went on strike due to unpaid salaries, and they have already been punished by the PSL DC for this matter.
They were fined R1 million, with R600,000 suspended, while games were rated as walk-overs and their opponents Mamelodi Sundowns Golden Arrows received three points and 3-0 wins.
On Friday, Marawa confirmed the news, stating the club were addressing the disciplinary issue, after all the players had appeared before an internal DC.
Marawa named all the dismissed players on his show, and iDiski Times has also seen a list with the following names on it:
In other news, Dillon Solomons is one of the most missed Kaizer Chiefs FC players. On, this article, we have covered his update regarding his future, game time.
Amakhosi management will surely part ways with some of Chiefs players when the current season end. But according what have reached our table, Solomons is save. This means he will be part of Chiefs next season squad. However, on his game time update, we are told he will get a game time more often after the current AFCON break. His 100% fit, after the injury he picked few months ago.
Chiefs fans are really believing in Solomons, even our analyser Senzo Sambo used to analyse him. Here is what he said about him last season in case you missed it.
“Dillon Solomons is a great signings by Kaizer Chiefs. Very good player i have to say.he is quick and speedy. He goes past defenders using his pace a person with that pace it becomes much easier for him to recover in defense and clean up.
“I have been watching Swallows FC closely trying to monitor Dillon Solomons i have to say his crosses are of high quality only if Swallows had good goal poachers his crosses are well calculated well delivered. Each and every time you see Dillion Solomons in a 1 v 1 situation when attacking he skins his defenders for a living.
“Very good signing and welcomed. Kaizer Chiefs vs Cape Town City pre match analysis.
“I want to analyse Kaizer Chiefs going into our clash against them for me this is the easiest game for Kaizer Chiefs we edge that team in almost all departments they look very disorganised. Their attack is not percey as anyone claim they are they use Mayo and Darwin Gonzalez as Wingers but those players cross the ball they don’t engage through combination play with aim to penetrate from the middle.
“With the speed of Reeve Frosler and Dillion Solomons on the wings should they try to engage us it’s going to be a disaster because they can’t match our quality. We have quality centre back pairing if you look at Zitha Kwinika and Njabulo Ngcobo they have done fairly well in the past match and they will be looking to build from there.
“I’m not even worried about them because from their attack there’s not even 1 player who is good on 1 v 1 situations they always look to cross the ball or cut back. I rate Kaizer Chiefs team highly especially after what i saw on Saturday. A lot of our players are playing at their home province Keagan Dolly, Dillion Solomons, Reeve Frosler and Brendon Peterson.”
