Mamelodi Sundowns have made a final decision to Former Bafana Bafana Midfielder Andile Jali.
Since the end of 2022, the Andile Jali drama has dominated transfer discussions, although it is believed to be nearing its conclusion.
Jali has been excluded from the Mamelodi Sundowns team since the beginning of this year, and it now seems improbable that he will ever be seen playing in their uniform once more.
According to rumors, Jali attended training while under the influence of alcohol, which resulted in his expulsion from the Sundowns team.
Before that event, there were rumors that his former team Orlando Pirates was interested in bringing him back, and that Kaizer Chiefs, their bitter rivals, was preparing a January offer to try and lure the senior player away before the remainder of the current season.
But the Chiefs’ strategy apparently changed after the incident involving the alcohol. The Pirates’ interest came before they acquired Makhehlene Makhaula, another seasoned midfielder.
There haven’t been many, if any, connections between the two sides since then. Since then, SuperSport United and AmaZulu in particular have been credited with showing interest in Jali’s services.
These teams will soon have full control over negotiations with Jali, as well as Chiefs and Pirates if they still have any interest.
This is in response to the most recent rumors from Soccer-Laduma that Sundowns will no longer work with the former Bafana Bafana international when his contract expires in July.
“The Siya crew has established that Mamelodi Sundowns do not expect Andile Jali to return to Chloorkop at any point this season, with his time at the club said to be all but over. It’s understood that things between the veteran campaigner and the club have reached an untenable point” wrote the publication
Jali will likely take his time choosing his next team because at 33, it’s possible that it may be his last, but one thing is for sure: he won’t play for Sundowns in the upcoming season.
Sundowns Management please forgive Andile Jali thats all i can say.Everyone deserves a second chance,Jali is a good player, our defender is not that strong .He can put much effort in defender,It looks like you didn’t carefully thing about your decisson,He has eirked and did a lot in the team Now you are chasing him away This is not good Lets think of each other , Please bring Andile Jali back
I am a sundowns fan.. I believe my beloved team frastrated “u mhlekazi” by wanting to cut his salary… So the Brazilians were initially not planning to use the terrible twin. We all know this game involves business as well, but one thing to remember NEVER EVER TEST A PERSON WITH HIS SALARY ..My heart is bleeding for the ever hard working… I wish him a successful path .
I guess it gives the younger generation a chance showcase what they can do
We need him as sundowns fans so if ever had done something wrong he was supposed to be punished and come back to training.
