Bafana Bafana’s player Thapelo Maseko picked an injury on the previous clash. The official update has been made regarding his presence or absence for the current AFCON games.
According to the official confirmation, Thapelo Maseko will not feature in Bafana Bafana’s last two matches at #AFCON2023 (semi-final & final/third-place playoff match) due to a muscle injury.
The speedy winger will stay put in Ivory Coast, he won’t be replaced.

“Yes, we know and understand who we are up against,” Broo said.
“We know the might of this team and that their players play all over Europe.
“We also know that last time in an AFCON what the result was, but this time it’s different,” he continued.
“It’s different players, a different team and a different AFCON. Anything is possible.”
Nigeria head coach also shared his views, He said you are playing against a team that beat Morocco 2-0 – Nigeria coach cautions his players.
“They know they are going to play against a good team, put Morocco, one of the favourites out 2-0,” Peseiro told reporters.
“We know the power of the opponent, we know they want to win like us, they have confidence, they have good organization, they want to win the AFCON like us but my importance is our team.
