There are latest rumours regarding Mamelodi Sundowns FC and former Kaizer Chiefs FC link Khanyisa Mayo. Some weeks ago, Kaizer Chiefs FC sporting director Kaizer Motaung Jr confirmed that they are interested in both Khanyisa Mayo and Junior Mendieta, however, Chiefs pulled out in the race of signing Mayo after his boss confirming Mayo’s price tag.
According the revelation that was shared by Capetown City FC boss John Comitis said Mayo’s price tag is R38 000 000.00. Chiefs then decided to pull out.
Latest reports suggest that Mamelodi Sundowns FC will send an improved offer to City regarding the service of the player. However, some weeks ago, Khanyisa Mayo’s father who is a former Kaizer Chiefs FC player Patrick Mayo, said he would not like to see his son playing for Sundowns. He is one of the people who believe Mamelodi is destroying players careers.
In other news, Kaizer Chiefs FC fans are not happy that their team is not signing Mayo. They believe Chiefs system on signing players is poor. Here is what our analyser says regarding Chiefs on signing players;
“You will keep on blaming other teams for Kaizer Chiefs FC failure instead of recognising that the problem is the club itself.
“I used to think like that at first but I’m glad my eyes are opened now. Kaizer Chiefs FC as a Club they know that they cannot compete in the transfer window that’s the first red flag thing about the club.
“Despite knowing all of this the club has just disbanded the whole scouting team Kaizer Chiefs FC currently have no scout they have no one Walter Steenbok is gone, Sinesipho Mali is gone etc currently the Club has no scout. Actually even when they had Scouts they could not sign the players the scouts recommended i can name ten top players that were scouted by Sinesipho Mali and Walter in the past three years.
“Surprise Ralani, Thabo Cele, Kobamelo Kodisang, Khanyisa Mayo, Pule Mmodi, Abubeker Nasir, Karim Konate, Frank Mbella Etouga, Rushwin Dortley, Bathusi Aubaas none of these players were signed so the problem is bigger at Chiefs.
“Right now the whole scouting team has been disbanded i don’t know who will scout for us Ace Khuse is busy watching Kasi Tournaments and they call it scouting. While some teams are busy scouting top players.”- he said.
