Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly back on the hunt for long-term target Thabo Cele after two previous unsuccessful attempts.
After Cele’s impressive achievements for the SA U23 team at the Tokyo Olympics two years ago, Chiefs became interested in signing him.
However, that move did not materialize, and it is thought that former coach Stuart Baxter made the late decision to forego the club’s interest in Cele.
Later, the midfielder joined with Radomiak, a team that competes in Poland’s top division, and is now with them.
In the beginning of the season, Chiefs returned to test the waters, seemingly unaffected by this, but the club reportedly rejected their offer.
According to rumors, Cele, a player who is said to hold a special place in Arthur Zwane’s heart, is the inspiration behind that second endeavor.
It is probably not surprising that the Amakhosi are said to be planning yet another hunt for the box-to-box midfielder given that his contract with Radomiak is slated to expire at the end of the current season.
