Junior Khanye, a former winger for Kaizer Chiefs, has identified two Bafana Bafana players who ought to relocate to Europe.
At the 2023 African Cup of Nations (Afcon), Bafana Bafana came in third place and had to defeat teams like Tunisia, Morocco, and Cape Verde to make it to the final four.
After South Africa’s 4-2 penalty-filled loss to Nigeria in their match, Khanye, a critic of Bafana, praised the national team.
“Bafana Bafana played one of the best games in the tournanment, it was difficult for Bafana to come back if they playing with the giants but big up to them,” Khanye said on iDiskiTV.
Former Kaizer Chiefs star Junior Khanye has reportedly told IDiskiTv that Ronwen Williams and Teboho Mokoena are two Bafana Bafana players who ought to relocate to Europe.
“To be patient and build up, I knew them of pumping up the ball , they were fearless. So hard luck to them.”
Khanye stated that Mamelodi Sundowns may find it challenging to hold onto Williams and Mokoena following the Afcon.
Given that top European teams are interested in the Bafana midfielder, Mokoena is expected to leave Downs soon. The 32-year-old Williams may finally have the opportunity to relocate to Europe. During the Afcon, he conceded just three goals while keeping five clean sheets.
“Hard luck to Ronwen Williams, he deserves to go to Europe. Him and Mokoena, I don’t know how Sundowns will keep them,” Khanye added.
