Kaizer Chiefs FC management is looking forward to sign some new top players with the aim of strengthening their squad in a preparations of ending a trophy-less drought that has been hitting Amakhosi eight years ago.
According to the latest reports from some top publications like Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs FC is interested on signing one of the top wingers who has just got a national team call up (even though it’s a preliminary squad). It has been reported that Chiefs might be looking to sign Richards Bay winger, Sanele Barns.
“The club is interested in bringing another winger(Sanele Barns).” – the report said.
However, if Kaizer Chiefs FC end up signing Sanele Barns, his arrival might make Tebogo Potsane’s future with Amakhosi doubtful since they are both wingers, and Potsane is seem to be failing to break in to the starting line up.
“The club is interested in bringing another winger and that could affect Tebogo’s position and his future at the club. As it is, now his future is bleak. But if he can work to pull up his socks maybe things can change but for now, that’s the positive that he faces and things are not looking for him.” Said the report.
“If the club signs Sanele Barns, then it’s even more difficult for him going forward.”
Kaizer Chiefs FC is already looking forward to decide whether which players they will part ways with in January and when the current season end, to make a way for other new players that will be recruited.
According to the top local publication, Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs FC might let go one of their latest signings.
After joining Kaizer Chiefs FC from Royal AM at the beginning of the current season, the winger Tebogo Potsane’s future with Amakhosi is looking blurry as per Soccer Laduma information. The completion in the senior team is tough and the current technical team let by Cavin Johnson, who is an interim coach, could be preferring other players to start ahead of him. However, please be aware that the decision to part ways with Potsane has not been reached at the moment, it is yet to be made.
“For now, we can say Teboho Potsane’s future hangs in the balance. There are other players who are (currently available) doing better than him in that position and that’s why his future is apparently uncertain.” Source said.
“You also know that different coaches prefer different (type of) players and maybe that’s the reason. What I am not sure of is whether he will be loaned out or permanently be released. Mind you he still has a full three year contract with the club which he signed when he joined (Chiefs) at the start of the season. So, it will depend on the technical team and what they want.”
Tebogo Potsane is one of the most loved Kaizer Chiefs FC players, his previous performances under the head coach, Molefi Ntseki, where by he managed to get his three assists, made fans to start liking him. Unfortunately, the players like Pule Mmodi, Christian Saile and others are starting to start ahead of him.
He is not the first player/winger to be released while loved by many fans. A good example is former left footed winger, Kgaugelo Sekgota, who has joined Stellenbosch FC few months ago, before the start of the season. Sekgota has played some games at his club, he has atleast one goal and one assistant.
