In as much as the current Kaizer Chiefs FC interim coach Cavin Johnson has started impressing some of Amakhosi fans, there are new developments regarding Chiefs coaching job update, according to Soccer Laduma.
According to the mentioned publication, Kaizer Chiefs FC football club have been impressed with a coach far from Zimbabwean. The name of the coach who has impressed Chiefs management is Kallisto Pasuwa. According to the reports, Pasuwa managed to wrap with Malawi club, Nyasa Big Bullets on weekend. The sources have suggested that Amakhosi might have inquired about his availability. Not only Amakhosi that is interested on Nyasa Big Bullets, as there is a club in South Africa, that is also interested on getting him. The coach has also attracted interest from Richards Bay in the PSL and Vipers in Uganda. Richards Bay was trained by the Zimbabwean coach, Keitano Tembo while Amakhosi is being mentored by Cavin Johnson.
Apart from that, the update can also mention that another coach who is linked with a possible move to Chiefs, Pitso Mosimane had now been reported to be wanted by Saudi Pro League side Abha Club.
“At the moment, rhere are two teams in South Africa and Vipers of Ugandan untested on Mr Pasuwa. In South Africa, it is Kaizer Chiefs FC and Richards Bay United.
“I am not sure which one is more serious because they are dealing with his agent and he could be the one that knows more than i do. But I know both Chiefs and Bay are seriously in need of a coach and Kallisto Pasuwa name is on top of the list rught now.” Says the sources.
In other news, our analyser Senzo Sambo has analysed why some of Kaizer Chiefs FC players must go on loan.
“A loan deal for Samkelo Zwane, Wandile Duba, Happy Mashiane and Sabelo Radebe. Mina I’m disturbed when all these boy’s are kept in the team, to make it look like we have depth while we know they won’t play more than 5games a season.
“These boys need a loan elsewhere but Kaizer Chiefs management is something else. A Chippa United or Swallows would appreciate a talent like Samkelo Zwane and Duba
A Supersport United would appreciate a Mashiane. Cape Town Spurs would appreciate a Sabelo Radebe.
“The problem is that when we loan players we want the teams to pay(cover) 50% of the players salary why can’t we just cover the 100% salary. Because even when in Naturena they get paid for not playing. Stockpiling youngsters without game time is a recipe for disaster, confidence drops, they get rusty, lose the support they had from fans and have to earn it back gradually.
“Do you still remember how supporters loved Sabelo Radebe after that performances in the Carling Black Label Cup? His confidence was still high you could see the energy. Now all that hype has died because we are stockpiling such talent on the bench. There’s no team that has so much good young talent that is stockpiled like Kaizer Chiefs.”
