DSTV premier league side Sekhukhune United have officially announced former Amakhosi deffender Philani Zulu. The news of Zulu’s move to United surfaced on Monday afternoon as reported on Masiu Media.
He joins Babina Noko until the end of the season with an option to renew beyond June 2023.
Sekhukhune United released a statement confirming Zulu’s arrival while also announcing the arrival of Mzwanele Mahashe. Both Zulu and Mahashe joins Sekhukhune United on a free transfer following his release from TS Galaxy in August.
In signing for Sekhukhune United, Zulu gets to reunite with coach Brandon Truter whom he worked with at AmaZulu for three months.
Zulu was let go by AmaZulu in June while Truter, who had joined in March this year, left the Durban-based club in September.
The two players, Zulu and Mahashe will be expected to provide stability in the Sekhukhune United back line.
