South African playmaker Ayanda Sishuba has signed his first professional contract with Ligue 1 side RC Lens.
The 18-year-old playmaker, who is the son of former FC Fortune midfielder Asanda Sishuba was born in Belgium during the playing days of his father.
Having left Cape Town for Belgium in 2002, the Langa-born talent spent the next two decades plying his trade in the country.
And his son Ayanda is now showing promise to exceed the achievements of his father after being signed on 3 year deal contract.
“The signing of Ayanda’s first contract is an important step,” club legend and Chief Instructor Eric Sikora told the club’s website.
“It is a marker of confidence for the club on its way to the top level. Ayanda is an attacking midfielder with interesting technical qualities.
“His season in N3 is promising with numbers, it is nevertheless only a step and he knows our expectations to continue his progress.”
The playmaker who’s netted seven goals and registered two assists in 13 games for the reserve team has been capped three times for the Belgium U18 team, scoring twice.
Ayanda Sishuba says he believes that he can score more goals for his ligue 1 team which is Lens and he says that he will make South Africa proud as a Nation.
