Recently, MLS team St. Louis City SC purchased Njabulo Blom from Kaizer chiefs
The star from Dobsonville, who made his senior squad debut at the age of 19, advanced to play a crucial role for Kaizer Chiefs.
Because of his versatility, he played both right back and the midfield destroyer for coach Arthur Zwane.
The Chiefs need a good center defensive midfielder who can stop opponent offenses, create for his teammates, and liberate those in front of him.
As Arthur Zwane rebuilds, FARPost examined three midfielders who could do that with ease.
Andile Jali
Even though the Amakhosi fans are demanding, Andile Jali wouldn’t be intimidated by them. He knows the pressure of playing at that level since he has done it for Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
Jali is free to sign a pre-contract as he is in the final six months of his Sundowns contract.
Samkelo Zwane and the other young midfielders at Chiefs might learn from 32-year-old Jali. He actually has two strong seasons left in him at the highest level.
Kamohelo Mokotjo
One of the best operators at that position is the former Bafana Bafana international player. He would bring his international playing expertise from his time with various clubs in Europe.
Mokotjo is now without a team after parting ties with FC Cincinnati earlier this year.
Jamie Webber
The least likely of the three is the SuperSport United midfielder, who is 23 years old. After five seasons at Matsatsantsa, he has acquired crucial experience. He wouldn’t be inexpensive, of course.
