Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Khama Billiat has been advised to Apologise to Kaizer Chiefs as the team was willing to give him a new contract.
The Kaizer Chiefs management offered Billiat a one-year contract extension in June, but the star turned it down.
Before the current DStv season began, the 33-year-old abruptly left Amakhosi, but he hasn’t been able to find a club.
Billiat’s contract was set to expire at the end of June, but Kaizer Chiefs expressed interest in giving the star a one-year extension—albeit one that would come with a pay decrease.
The athlete stopped training at the end of June, and ever since, the club has not given him any calls or emails.
Ratshibvumo Mulovhedz a local agent told our Source that khama Billiat should ask forgiveness to Kaizer Chiefs.
“As an agent and having dealt with situations like this one of Khama Billiat before, my only advice to him will be to go back to Chiefs and ask for forgiveness,” Mulovhedzi told SNL24.
“Chiefs wanted to give him a new contract and for whatever reason he rejected it. Go back to the club and ask for forgiveness and if you are successful you will get a chance to play football again at one of the big clubs where you were loved by a lot of supporters”.
“He should take whatever the club is offering and then focus on playing football to revive his career. He can combine well with [Edson] Castillo and others and get the team to play and produce much needed result,” Mulovhedzi added.
