Kaizer Chiefs is set to add another signing.

News reaching SSNews can reveal that Kaizer Chiefs is in advanced talks with Moroka Swallows for the services of one of their key attacking Midfielders.

Kaizer Chiefs have been accused of not signing quality players for years which some believe is what has led to the downfall of the Club as they have failed to win a single trophy for 8years which is the longest in the history of the Club.

Recently Kaizer Chiefs were eliminated from the Nedbank Cup after losing to arch rivals Orlando Pirates in Soweto Derby a trophy alot of Supporters thought might head to Naturena.

However the two teams battled it out on Saturday with Orlando Pirates netting the opener courtesy of Kermit Erasmus after being setup nicely by on form Orlando Pirates winger Monapule Saleng with the outside of his boot.

It took 60minutes for Kaizer Chiefs to respond after trailing for most parts of the game when a moment of individualism by Dillan Solomons led to Yusuf Maart receiving a through pass that confused the Orlando Pirates centre backs with Maart getting his second of the season against Orlando Pirates in the derby.

The game continued to extra time when substitute Sandile Mthethwa headed in a Cross from former Marumo Gallants midfielder Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo to give Orlando Pirates the leads in extra time as they went on to claim the bragging rights a match filled with emotions and banter.

When the Nedbank Cup draw was announced Kaizer Chiefs technical stuff members and players celebrated however on Saturday the Buccaneers prevailed with the Official account of Orlando Pirates also joining in to mock Amakhosi.

With the results having been poor this season Kaizer Chiefs is already said to be making an effort as they have contacted Moroka Swallows for the services of Gregory Damons who has been in fine form this season and scored on their last fixture.

Kaizer Chiefs is hoping to get a number of players from their fellow Soweto Club Moroka Swallows due to the nature of their working relationship over the past few years.

Stellenbosch FC midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa is also one of the linked players with the Soweto Giants and it’s believed that he is priced at the value of around R6Million by Stellies.
