Kaizer Chiefs FC’s game VS Mamelodi Sundowns FC has been analysed by former Kaizer Chiefs FC winger Junior Khanye.
Speaking to IdisKi TV, Khanye started by commenting on an incident that happened between Thapelo Maseko and Mdudusi Mdantsane, where by most of Kaizer Chiefs FC fans believe that they were robbed a possible penalty by the ref. Khanye started by admitting that there was a contact between those players. However, according to him, he said he was not going to give Chiefs a penalty because he believes that the contact was not that much for ref to give a penalty.
Apart from that, Khanye said Mamelodi Sundowns FC players are very slow when attacking an opponent. He says he has realised that during the game between Sundowns and Orlando Pirates FC. Khanye said this even though Sundowns won 2-1. This means Kaizer Chiefs FC are out of MTN 8.
Under Molefi Ntseki, Kaizer Chiefs FC has won two games in the league, lost three and played a draw in two games. Some fans are already asking the management to sack coach Ntseki. Here is what our analyser says about Ntseki yesterday.
“I must admit that Molefi Ntseki has never been my ideal guy for the job but I think he’s onto something. He’s done well thus far under circumstances. The team is broken but he’s trying to bring those guys together, we just has been misjudging him based on the fact the we haven’t won trophies for the longest of time.
“Watching his team playing I can say that something is being done right, when last did we go pound to pound with Sundowns? We played well against SuperSport United, we had a good game against Royal AM, we were good against Sundowns.
“We just lacking the cutting edge onto the box, we need a little bit of more sense of urgency especially in the critical stages of the game. You can’t concede a goal straight from kick off, you can’t concede a late goal neither before half time or at full time. That’s just another thing we must minimize.
“We need to be more clinical as well, especially Ash. Yes Ash has been one of our standout performers but he needs to be more clinical, he should’ve scored a minimum of 2 goals against Royal AM. He should’ve at least had a hat-trick against Sundowns. Tactically I think he’s good, we’ve just been let down by individual errors most of the time being Hlanti, Peterson and Ash in some instances. But all in all overall I think he’s done well, we just need to start grinding the results then we’re good to go.
“We’ve been very unfair with him, it’s painful how he’s been attacked at Mbombela and at Polokwane. Even the bench has been contributing impressively, he’s trying to create competition within the squad, Saile being the main perpetrator, the likes of Matlou, Frosler and co has improved massively and we still have a couple of good players yet to play. He’ll succeed if we support him, it’s just unfortunate South African supporters ain’t as patient as they have to be and they jump onto blaming the coach whenever the results are not forthcoming. I pledge with all Kaizer Chiefs fans to support this guy. He’s onto something. I’m not his biggest fan but I have to give credit where it’s due. Msimango said himself that he’s a teacher, a father figure and the boys are enjoying working with him. They are learning a lot both on and off the pitch.
