The match where by Moroka Swallow FC got beaten 1-0 by Kaizer Chiefs FC yesterday has been analysed by IdisKi TV analyst Junior Khanye.
Swallows FC hosted Chiefs in Dobhsonville stadium, where by the match started at 15 hours 30 minutes. both teams went to half time with 0-0 and international striker Christian Saile, scored a beautiful winning goal for Cheifs in last minutes. Former Kaizer Chiefs FC attacker and currently working at IdisKi TV as an analyser has shared his views after yesterday’s clash.
Khanye started by saying Kaizer Chiefs FC should have scored three goals at first half, because Swallows players were not that marvelous when building from the back. He made an example over a miss from Nkosingphile Ngcobo where by Daniel Akpeyi, was caught off the post, where by Ngcobo nearly got an opening goal. He also said Andile Jali is a very good player, but he mentioned that Jali won’t make things possible alone while he is the only one.
When it comes to Kaizer Chiefs FC, Khanye started by giving credit to the man who scored for Chiefs, Saile. He said Saile was a hard worker yesterday, he deserved a goal. However, he explained Saile as a player who is more of an athlete than a footballer with football brains. Junior also mentioned that Kaizer Chiefs FC team lacks creativity, especially in the midfield.
In other news, our analyser Senzo Sambo also made some analysis about Happy Mashiane, who is currently lacking a game time in Naturena. Here is what he said;
“The downfall of Happy Mashiane. People thought i was a plumber when i said Happy Mashiane will never make it as a winger where in the world have you seen a winger that can’t dribble past a player or cut inside?
“Happy Mashiane made his Kaizer Chiefs debut in the Nedbank Cup i think against a team called Magesi in that game Mashiane started as wingbacks he was making those late runs in the box and exciting.
“I blame Gavin Hunt for Happy’s downfall he sold people a lie about Mashiane’s position and the fact that Mashiane scored a couple of goals and assists blindfolded a lot of people why not ask yourself why Mashiane has never won the Man of the match award playing as a winger he would play bad the whole game misplacing passes then have 1 moment where he scores and people think he is a good winger.
“Mashiane can revive his career only if he is played in his original position which is wingback there’s a difference in being a winger and wingback a winger waits for the ball then runs at defenders and dribble and cut in side.
A wingback make those runs and put in a first time cross that’s the only way Mashiane will improve as a player.
“I have always been clear about Happy Mashiane even under Gavin Hunt i said it that Happy Mashiane will never be a good winger but a Good Left Wing Back.
~ You cannot have a winger that fails to dribble past players
~ You cannot have a winger that over relaxes like Mashiane does
~ He is always undecided he thinks when the ball is already in his feet
“But i have seen the best of Happy Mashiane under Ernst Middendorp as a wingback he even kept Thembinkosi Lorch at Bay in the Soweto Derby even last year in the Carling Black Label Cup he held his own against Hotto,Jooste in the Derby. Wingers you can see them check Sekgota very quick and tricky yet not playing but Mashiane is not even half of what Sekgota is and you expect to make it as a winger.
“The guy’s chance of playing is as Left Wing Back otherwise all will go south.
The reason Pitso Mosimane converted Lyle Lakay to Left back is because he is a Mashiane kind of a player he can’t dribble past opponents his only thing in mind is to cross. On the defensive side it’s something that can be fixed Lyle Lakay last season won the Defender of the season you wouldn’t believe that 3 seasons ago he was a winger.” he added.
