Wydad opened talks for the player last week after it became clear they needed a new striker for the upcoming King Salman Cup where they are in Group B alongside Al Hilal, Al Sadd and Al Ahli Tripoli, which kicks off in two days.

It’s believed Bouly Junior Sambou, who scored 20 goals in 41 games last season could be heading to Russia or Turkey before the end of the transfer window and Bimenyimana will fill his role as the lead number nine for the upcoming competition.

While there’s been a back-and-forth on his valuation, the two sides agreed on a fee on Friday before the player received the green light to leave camp.

Bimenyimana took the first possible flight out to Casablanca on Friday evening and met with his representatives in the North African state where they are currently in talks for personal terms with the Botola Pro giants.
