Former Orlando Pirates star Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi has advised Kaizer Chiefs to act fast and sign SuperSport United’s teenage sensation Shandre Campbell before Mamelodi Sundowns do.
Campbell was the star of the show, as Matsatsantsa came from a goal down to beat Vilakazi’s former club in the battle for second place, scoring two goals and setting up the other.
After the match, Tso insisted that Amakhosi should look at adding Campbell to their ranks before it’s too late.
“Kaizer Chiefs need to sign this young boy before Mamelodi Sundowns snatch him. Shandre Campbell scored two goals tonight and he is only 18 years old. His value is still low,” he said on iDiski TV.
“I would advise Chiefs to be quick and sign this boy. Last season, I said it with Thapelo Maseko that he will be signed by Sundowns and that’s exactly what happened. Chiefs doesn’t need to waste any time with Campbell, he is the real deal.
Gavin Hunt planned for Orlando Pirates really good. It was a convincing win for Supersport United. The game was played at a high tempo from the first whistle.
“Tactically, Hunt employed Grant Magerman and Siphesihle Ndlovu to man-mark Miguel Timm and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and the plan paid off.
“Fortune Makaringe is an attacking midfielder who has been played at right-back by Pirates. Today it finally caught up with them. Gavin Hunt knew that and he used this kid Campbell to attack Makaringe.
“Melusi Buthelezi the keeper was culpable for both the second and third goal that Pirates conceded. He should take responsibility for his mistakes.
“SuperSport deserve this victory.”
According to a source,Kaizer Chiefs Football Club are set to sign Shandre Campbell on a pre contract in the January transfer window,so that they may have higher chances of signing him next season to play for Kaizer Chiefs Football Club.
