With Kaizer Chiefs preparing for a huge revamp at the end of the season, they have already started preparing for the incoming season as the new coach prepares his squad.
CHIEFS DEFENDER SET TO BE RELEASED AT THE END OF THE SEASON
Ngcobo is set to be released from Amakhosi at the end of the season.
“Things are not looking good for Ngcobo at Chiefs. He has really struggle to life at Naturena and the club has decided to let him go at the end of the season,” the insider reported on The Citizen.
The former Bafana Bafana defender has struggled for gamete under Cavin Johnson with the interim coach instead opting for the likes of Given Msimango and Thatayaone Dithlokwe. Moreover, Edmilson Dove as even shifted to centre back when needed.
Therefore, this is a clear indication that Ngcobo has fallen out of favor and down the pecking order with the Soweto giants.
AMAKHOSI MIDFIELDER HEADING OUT OF NATURENA
Meanwhile, midfielder Matlou finds himself in a similar situation.
He currently sits behind the likes of Edson Castillo, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Yusuf Mart, Samkelo Zwane and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo. So, it comes as no surprise that he is set to leave at the end of the season.
Recent reports coming out of SoccerLaduma state that Amakhosi management are leaning towards letting him go.
“He was already supposed to be either released or loaned out but since his contract is expiring in June this year I don’t thunk there is much to be done now. It’s almost as good as done for him as far as renewing his contract is concerned. It’s almost 90% they won’t renew it though they had given him hope late last year,” the report read on the same publication.
