As they look at assembling a strong squad for next season, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has confirmed the club are identifying and wrapping up a few transfer deals.
Zwane was responding to media questions after SABC Sport broke the news of TS Galaxy captain Given Msimango having concluded a deal with Amakhosi for next season.

Another Chiefs deal that SABC Sport has reported on is the imminent return of their development product Mduduzi Mdantsane, who looks set to return home from Cape Town City.

Zwane couldn’t confirm nor deny these deals but revealed they are hard at work preparing for the new season.

“We have identified players and we’ll keep on trying our level best to bring in players that we think will add value to the club. At the moment, I’m not at liberty to diverge any information until the team makes that announcement,” he said.

Chiefs host Stellenbosch FC tomorrow evening at FNB Stadium in a DStv Premiership clash of two on-form teams prior to the international break.

Amakhosi have won four games in a row in all competitions while Stellies have won six of their last seven games overall – playing a draw in the seventh game.

Zwane, who says his team will intensify its battle for the second spot on the log, has highlighted what they’ll be up against.

“If you are to look at Stellenbosch, they’ve won five games in a row so that alone tells you that they are not an easy team to play against. Home and away they’ve been grinding results and they’ve got quality players. There’s no doubt about it. They have a lot of youngsters that took part in our Under-23’s that tells you about the quality they have in their team,” he added.

Meanwhile, ‘Mangethe’ has also congratulated Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos and his team for qualifying for the 2023 AFCON finals following their 2-1 win over Liberia in Monrovia earlier this week.

“We went there guns blazing, we had to grind the results for us as a nation to qualify and we were all behind the national team. Regardless of who was going to be playing, you know because at the end of the day, we are all South Africans. For South African football to grow and be better, we have to qualify for Afcon, we have to qualify for the World Cup,” he concluded written by SABC Sport.
