Kaizer Chiefs Coach set to Coach the National team squad in the upcoming tournament.
Kaizer Chiefs Reserve Team Head Coach Vela Khumalo will be tasked with the duty to Coach the South Africa’s U20 National Team next month.
The U23 will be playing to qualify for the AFCON 2023 next year and Coach Vela Khumalo will be in charge of the team as a part time Coach.
The decision by SAFA to retain Vela Khumalo in the job is because there’s a believe that he knows the young players very well as he previously won the COSAFA U17 Tournament with young players.
Mduduzi Shabalala who is now having a professional contract won the Player of the tournament in the 2019 COSAFA U17 Tournament and they will be looking to continue the journey with coach Vela Khumalo
