A specific member of Bafana Bafana has confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs contacted him in an effort to sign him.
According to TheSouthAfrican website, Amakhosi approached Mihlali Mayambela at the conclusion of the previous campaign.
But Mayambela chose to relocate abroad, to Cyprus, where he is now a player for Aris Limassol, therefore the move never happened.
At the end of the previous season, the Bafana forward was on Amakhosi’s roster, But many clubs also expressed interest in Mayambela.
That was not to be, though, as he decided not to sign with the Soweto giants.
