Kaizer Chiefs Set to be miss key players ahead of AmaZulu Clash on Saturday.
Kaizer Chiefs will be returning back to action on Saturday after a three weeks break,of no football action due to the MTN8 final and the international break.
Kaizer Chiefs will immediately return to tough fixtures as they take on KZN side AmaZulu in the Carling Knockout round of sixteen,Kaizer Chiefs were drawn with AmaZulu last week and Kaizer Chiefs will be playing at bome in a new launched trophy with exciting features, the new Carling Knockout Cup competition will include benefits to the players which will help increase their competitive nature as the Man Of The Match award winner will receive a whooping R100K Thousand Rand an award voted by Supporters.
Kaizer Chiefs players are expected to benefit largely from this initiative as they command alot of support and influence on the voting section of things, in some way this competition might actually be of help to Kaizer Chiefs to try and end their 8years trophyless run which has frustrated million of Supporters within the country,majority of people are no longer enjoying football due to the Giants having won nothing for a long period of time.
Kaizer Chiefs Supporters will be hoping that they atleast win this newly revamped trophy and add to their impressive trophy cabinet.
Kaizer Chiefs are nore likely to be without Venezuelan Midfielder Edson Castillo who was on international duty for his country as flights and routes might delay his return to the country,Edson Castillo received a call up for Venezuela despite playing in SA this meant its a huge achievement for the PSL which shows it is recognised in the whole world, however Edson Castillo did not get any minutes on international even being on the match day squad but Castillo will surely take it as a huge positive to improve his game and hope for the best in the next International break which will follow after 3weeks of football.
Kaizer Chiefs also have injury scare as George Matlou was nursing an injury in their last PSL clash against Cape Town City.
