Kaizer Chiefs set to contact top African coach for the Head Coaching position after Dr Motaung’s intervention.
Kaizer Chiefs is stepping up efforts to bring in a new coach, and sources reveal that may be sooner than expected as the struggling Soweto Giants continue search for a new coach.
Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with a number of coaches since the top job position has been vacant after the sacking of Molefi Ntseki, and while speculations may arise the seems to be a sudden movement, as Kaizer Chiefs quickly identifies their trimmed top 10 coaches after receiving over 40 CVs.
One of the coaches on the list is none other than South African coach Pitso Mosimane, Kaizer Chiefs are hoping to land Pitso Mosimane and there’s set to be contact in the coming days, after yesterday’s board meeting in Naturena whereby Pitso’s name arised in the talks, its important to note that at first Pitso Mosimane was not part of the coaches they were profiling as he did not send a CV, but he seems to have received a vote of confidence from some members in the board.
Spanish coach Raul Caneda is also one those who are earmarked for the Kaizer Chiefs job, SSNEWS understands that while the interest seems to have died down the coach is in the top 10 shortlisted for the head coaching job.
Former Young Africans coach and currently coach AS FAR Rabat in Morocco, Nasreddine Nabi is also part of those shortlisted for the job, according to Idiski Times coach Nabi is not really happy in Morocco and will be willing to resign in his current job and take the Kaizer Chiefs head coach job if the opportunity arises, the gaffer is very successful on the African having led Young Africans to a double treble in the past 2 seasons restoring their dignity in Tanzania, he is currently leading the Botol Pro league in Morocco with his team.
Another South African coach on the list is Mamelodi Sundowns Manqoba Mnqithi, according to sources Mnqithi is said to have also submitted his CV is Naturena, with hope to labd the Kaizer Chiefs job as his future at Sundowns is uncertain due to the current head coach not rating him, Mnqithi is a well known tactician in the country have managed to win back to back League title’s as Sundowns coach.
Fernando Da Cruz will be an interesting name to the Kaizer Chiefs Supporters, as they have never heard it before, but Fernando Da Cruz a highly rated technocrat is also in the top10 shortlisted coaches tipped to take over, the coach is known for his modern tactics and ability to build from the back while his teams play beautiful football and great passage of play.
Some of the coach includes the likes of Andries Ulderink who is also a well known technocrat having being part of Ajax Amsterdam while he almost led Ajax Cape Town to promotion, before resigning due to disputes at the Club only lost 2games as Ajax Cape Town coach,and former Wydad Casablanca coach Sven Vandenbroeck.
