Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star Khama Billiat is rumored to be returning to PSL. The player is set to join former club.
Recently, Khama Billiat was practicing with SuperSport United. However, Gavin Hunt opted against signing him. So now the player is set to join his former coach and club.
Billiat has had difficulty finding a new club since leaving Amakhosi. In addition, the interested clubs refused to give in to his demands regarding pay. Cape Town Spurs, formerly known as Ajax Cape Town, are now interested in signing him in the PSL.
“Things didn’t go well for him at SuperSport and he had high hopes that he will be signed. Unfortunately, coach Gavin was not impressed with him. But, it’s not the end of the road for him because Spurs want to sign him. I believe there has already been contact with him and it’s just a matter of time before things are made official,” the insider stated on Phakaaati.
When Billiat began his PSL career, he was a player for Ajax. This was prior to him becoming well-known for his play for Mamelodi Sundowns.
But once he signed with Amakhosi, his career took a turn for the worse. The PSL stalwart never quite lived up to the high expectations set by his supporters. So this is a fresh chance for him to make a fresh start and eventually get hired by a club.
