Former Kaizer Chiefs FC winger Junior Khanye has analysed the previous MTN 8, first semi-finals leg between Kaizer Chiefs FC and Mamelodi Sundowns FC. Khanye, mentioned some players who did not perform well from both sides.
Firstly, Khanye says the way he sees things, Kaizer Chiefs FC player Edson Castillo, is more of an attacking midfielder than a deffencive midfielder. However, he said Chiefs midfielder was off during the game, according to him, both Castillo and Yusuf Mart were totally off even though Castillo scored a goal.
Khanye says Kaizer Chiefs FC head coach Molefi Ntseki had a plan to stop Mamelodi Sundowns FC. However, he believes Ntseki did not have a plan on how he can hurt Mamelodi Sundowns FC. Junior also mentioned that Mamelodi Sundowns FC players were really having a ball possession even though they did not hurt Chiefs, he said the problem was that Sundowns players were walking when they are on possession with the ball. He also mentioned that Neo Maema was not effective on Saturday.
Apart from that, current IdisKi TV analyser Junior Khanye agreed that Sundowns had a ball possession, however they did not out play Kaizer Chiefs FC. His reason behind that, is because Sundowns attackers found it difficult to play behind Kaizer Chiefs FC deffenders. This is according to him.
For just a reminder, if the next leg, both teams play a draw of 0-0, it means, Chiefs will be out of the cup.
However, SS Football News interviewed it’s analyser Makaota Masiu, regarding on how should be done at Chiefs for a better ball rotation.
“Edson Castillo as a 6.
Breaking up play by just sitting in front of the defense and Initiating attack also moving box to box to get us those goals.
* Nkosingphile Ngcobo as a No.8 Being our source of press resistant when we come out of a press and control in Midfield in terms of all our moves ending up in the opponents box haiy this thing of our attacks ending up with us playing long balls.
* Nkosingphile Ngcobo forming the triangles in Midfield and combining the team in all areas of the pitch.
* Good free flowing football with Nkosingphile Ngcobo being the system.
“Mduduzi Shabalala/Mdantsane as a 10.
With Mduduzi Shabalala playing just behind the front three putting those passes, chipping the ball, through balls and also silky touches including backheels to open up the opponents low block and get behind them.
* Mduduzi Shabalala showing composure and arrogance as an 10 taking on players and making sure our movement is always ending inside the box.
“Then let everything flow.
Then if you lead with probably a goal you can bring Maart for Mdu then move Mshini to 8still with Maart doubling up as double six with Castillo.
“The reason is for ball retention which is Nkosingphile Ngcobo’s strength so that we are able to control the game even under pressure. This is possible if the coach tries it this is possible if the fans calls for it. Then we let everything flow.” – he said.
