Kaizer Chiefs FC fans were very excited after the announcement of Keagan Dolly, hoping he will take them to green pastures. At the moment, the African football analyser believes he has been the weakest link since joining Kaizer Chiefs FC.
Keagan Dolly is the South African professional player who was known at Mamelodi Sundowns FC before going to overseas. He came back to South Africa in July 2021 after joining Amakhosi. He has been criticized by some of Chiefs fans because of his poor performance lately. Makaota J Masiu believes Keagan Dolly is underperforming because of not getting enough competition at Kaizer Chiefs FC.
“Look, em, if you check Kaizer Chiefs FC fans are right by saying Keagan Dolly has been the weakest link. He [Keagan Dolly] is not getting enough competition, Keagan is in a comfort zone at Naturena since coming back.
“Another problem is that, he is not getting enough and fair coaching at Naturena. Arthur Zwane is a poor coach, he is not helpings his players to improve. So when you add getting a poor coaching and not getting enough competition, you will be the weakest link.
“At Mamelodi Sundowns FC if you don’t perform, someone will play ahead of you. No one knew that Gaston Serino will be the bench warmers. It’s is because of competition, so I also blame Chiefs management for not signing quality players. If Zwane decide to bench Dolly, who will start ahead of to close a game? Kamohelo [Mahlatsi]? No, come on.
“To be honest, Dolly has been overated since joining Kaizer Chiefs. He is proving a point that some players are making Chiefs an old- age retiring home. Fans were just blinded by the set pieces he score.”- Makaota J Masiu said during an interview with Senzo Sambo Football News.
Is Keagan Dolly that bad? Keagan has scored three goals this season. He also assisted three goals, in twenty games, in all competition. On the previous game against Royal AM, Dolly assisted S’fiso Hlanti.
