Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho was linked with a move to Lesotho but unfortunately he turned it down for some reasons.
According to a local publication, Eric Mathoho declined a substantial offer from Lesotho. Eric Mathoho is still available to sign free agents with the hopes of joining a PSL teams next season.
According to our Sources in Lesotho, Banthu Football Club were interested in signing former Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho.
The Club had made an attempt to sign the defender, who was born in Limpopo, according to a close source.
Nevertheless, the player displayed problems with the pitches, so the bid was unsuccessful. The 33-year-old was satisfied with both the club’s accommodations and pay.
He had voiced his thoughts about how difficult it can be to play Lesotho’s pitches. Mathoho had chosen to decline the offer because the Lesotho facilities are insufficient for football.
The 33-year-old left Amakhosi and is currently in his sixth month as a free agent. His departure was like a curse because he hasn’t heard from any PSL clubs other than Supersport United.
