Kaizer Chiefs FC founder and chairman Dr Kaizer Motaung has revealed top three Chiefs players of all time since the start of the club.
According to Dr. Kaizer Motaung, the best three players of all time at Kaizer Chiefs when excluding himself and Ace Ntsoelengoe are: Itumeleng Khune, Lucas Radebe and Teenage Dladla. He said the playing style of Teenage Dladla resembles the one of Iniesta during his time at FC Barcelona.
Apart from that, in other news, Teko Modise says Chiefs cannot win trophies, they can’t even win their games, they don’t have style of play.
Former Orlando Pirates and Sundowns midfield maestro Teko Modise said it will take years for Kaizer Chiefs to win a trophy, saying they can’t even win two games in a row.
“Before you can ask about if Chiefs still stand a chance to win a cup this season, you should ask if they are in a shape of winning matches first, do they win matches, do they have any plans of how they want to play their football,” Modise queried.
“If you watch Sundowns playing you understand from the start that they are a team that build from the back and what is Chiefs style?”
“Winning two games in a row is a mountain to climb for them, you can’t have hope for a big team like them to win trophies with such results.”
“You don’t win trophies because you are a big team and you used to win trophies back then, things has changed now and history is a history it belong to the past. It will take years for chiefs to win trophies.”
Moreover, Bobby Motaung, says It’s not Chiefs culture to chop and change coaches, It’s the supporters who are causing it.
Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung revealed the changing of coaches which the club have undergone in recent times has never been their culture.
“It’s not been in our culture, it’s never been in our supporters culture to chop, it’s never been in our culture to chop and change coaches even in a season or two seasons or three seasons,” Motaung told Timeslive.
“We have always given coaches the chance or opportunity to implement the vision and the plan. I don’t know where the culture comes from now for our supporters trying to you know zabalaza at the stadium.
“The game has changed today, there’s betting, there’s all this. People are emotional, the economy is bad, it depends on certain things. They come to the stadium with hope to enjoy and find hope to go home happy, and when they get disappointed those emotions start what has been happening in the week,” Motaung said.
