Just before his contract expire with Kaizer Chiefs FC, agent of Sifiso Hlanti has shared the latest update on the future of his client at Kaizer Chiefs with his contract set to expire in June.
Since returning from the long-term injury, the left-back has had an impressive season with Arthur Zwane’s side.
He’s featured in 25 games in all competitions and hit the back of the net twice.
Hlanti signed for Amakhosi in 2021 and will be out of contract in the next two months. However, Chiefs have the option to extend the former Swallows defender’s stay by one year.
Normally, at this time, the club would have contacted his camp if they were desperate to keep him.
However, according to the player’s representative Sizwe Ntshangase, Chiefs are yet to indicate whether they will exercise the option.
LATEST ON SIFISO HLANTI’S FUTURE AT CHIEFS
“We’re not having discussions with Chiefs, we’re waiting for them to decide [whether they exercise the option to extend],” he told FARPost.
“We’re not waiting for June, Chiefs will contact us anytime.”

Last season, the Glamour Boys had a major squad overhaul, letting go of most players that were over 30 years of age.
It remains to be seen whether they are planning to do the same in this window.
However, it should be recalled that the management has always been clear about building a new team for the future under Arthur Zwane.
OTHER PLAYERS WHOSE CONTRACTS ARE RUNNING OUT AT CHIEFS
Other players who’ll see their contracts coming to an end this season at Chiefs are Khama Billiat, Eric Mathoho, Phathutshedzo Nange, and Itumeleng Khune.
SuperSport United are said to be eyeing Nange with Gavin Hunt seeking a reunion with the midfielder. They worked together at the now-defunct Bidvest Wits.
Meanwhile, as reported by FARPost last week, Mathoho has already been made aware that he’s not part of the plans for the future. He’ll be a free agent after June.
As for Billiat and Khune, it’s not yet clear whether the club will elect to keep them.
UPDATE ON BILLIAT.
Things are not looking good for Zimbabwean Kaizer Chiefs FC winger Khama Billiat, as his contract expire at the end of the season. With Billiat earning around M/R700 000.00 per month, that alone put Billiat who is now injury prones on a blurry future.
However, Kaizer Chiefs FC head coach Arthur Zwane, is really liking Khama Billiat as a footballer. It means he is in Zwane’s plans for next season. The stay of Billiat at Chiefs is on his hands himself, including Itumeleng Khune. Chiefs will negotiate with Billiat to make a payment cut and give him one to two years contract extension.
According to our sources, Chiefs will pay him around M/R400 000.00 per month, will Billiat accept that?
Our accurate analysis can reveal that Billiat is expected to accept the offer, since no club in South Africa and other countries that can afford him. Only Egyptian clubs that can afford him. But due to his age, I have not seen teams that are interested I signing him this days. Our analysis can give those who still want Khama that he will stay.
Key points so that you can judge are;
1. Chiefs want to decrease Khama’s payment because Zwane loves him.
2. Teams that can afford Khama are not interested in his service.
Bobby Motaung On Khune Contract Situation;
“We are in discussions about that,” Motaung told iDiski Times.
“We are also talking about other players whose contracts are expiring at the end of the season. At the moment, [I can’t say much] as we will make an announcement.”
