The Buccaneers need a goalkeeper because they plan to split ways with two goalkeepers at the end of the season.
An international goalkeeper who competes for one of their PSL opponents has been named as Orlando Pirates’ newest transfer target.
According to TheSouthAfrican website, The Sekhukhune United goalie Toaster Nsabata is the target of the Bucs administration.
Toaster Nsabata (born 24 November 1993) is a Zambian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Sekhukhune United in the South African Premier Division and the Zambia national team
This suggests that Siyabonga Mpontshane and Richard Ofori’s prospects of staying may have just diminished.
According to a source, if Ofori left, the plan is to sign Nsabata, a keeper for the Sekhukhune.
“For now, it is the Ofori situation that will determine what happens next with Nsabata,” the relevant source confirmed on SoccerLaduma.
He is really one of the Soweto giants’ main targets, according to reports.
“According to the management, the technical team is also happy with Nsabata. You know he is Zambia’s first-choice goalkeeper and he has also been doing very well for Sekhukhune when he is not out injured. So yeah, they are watching him and he is their first target,” the source concluded
His Club Career
Nsabata was born in Chingola.
Sighted training with Zanaco F.C. which was initially perceived as temporary, he afterward he made his departure from Nchanga Rangers F.C. in early 2016.
Nsabata suffered inconsequential injuries in an automobile accident on in July 2015.
In December 2020, he left Zanaco in December 2020 following the expiry of his contract. He signed for ZESCO United in January 2021 on a three-year contract.
In August 2021, he signed for Sekhukhune United of the South African Premier Division.
International Career
In 2014, Nsabata made his senior debut, playing the complete 90 minutes in a 4-3 loss to Japan. He was dropped from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Zambia squad by coach Honour Janza.
