Thabiso Sesane, a promising center back who has spent the season on loan, is thought to have made a decision regarding his future with Orlando Pirates.
The 22-year-old, who previously spent time on loan with Jomo Cosmos before joining All Stars, is quite likely to return to Orlando Pirates after such an outstanding performance
Orlando Pirates Academy Graduate Thabiso Sesane is playing for All Stars, who are now sixth on the log, in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
The teenager has undoubtedly gained enough knowledge in the second tier to be ready to compete for a spot at Bucs.
Sesane has progressed through the Pirates’ academy systems and has already made his senior team debut in previous seasons.
Many at the Buccaneers had high hopes for the 22-year-old when he made a brilliant man of the match debut, envisioning in him a long-term partner for Olisa Ndah and a successor to the late club great Happy Jele.
He, however, found it difficult to secure a spot in the starting lineup and matchday squads for the Pirates, which finally led to the organization sending him out on loan.
Sesane has been a revelation since joining All Stars, captivating observers with his reliable and assured performances in South Africa’s second division of football. His performances appear to have caught the attention of his mother club, who have apparently made a decision regarding the player’s future as a result.
All Stars Club director Thando Sodinga has confirmed the story
“He (Sesane) is returning to Pirates next season, they have been impressed with him.” All Stars club director Thando Sodinga told KickOff.com
The Sea Robbers are thought to be already looking into potential replacements because there are rumors that Ndah may yet depart Pirates at the end of the season for a move abroad.
Tandi Mwape of TP Mazembe and former player Abbubaker Mobara have been mentioned as possible candidates thus far. But, with the rise of Sesane, they might not have to search too far for a successor should the Nigerian international leave and might save money by making a promotion from within.
