Orlando Pirates Management have found the replacement of their Defender Olisa Ndah.
Olisa Ndah who joined Orlando Pirates in 2021 from Nigerian outfit Akwa United is linked with a move to Italy.
Olisa Ndah has played 43 games for Orlando Pirates, he has received 14 yellow cards.
Ndah is apparently Sassuolo’s target, and Pirates even went so far as to inform the Serie A team of his transfer fee.
The Italians did not appear to pursue their interest, and Ndah’s move to Sassuolo ultimately remained just that—talks. The center back’s injury was assumed to be the reason.
That meant he remained at Pirates, giving the team’s supporters more time to appreciate his “Rolls Royce” defensive approach for at least another six months, allowing him to complete a second season with the Soweto giants.
The Buccaneers appear committed to making sure they are not caught with their pants down if Sassuolo returns to the Pirates’ door to ask for Ndah again.
It was rumored that they had Abbubaker Mobara, a former player who is currently a defender for AmaZulu, in mind as their ideal replacement for the Nigerian international during the January transfer window. It appears that they have since shifted their focus to a different target based on the most recent information.
Therefore, Siya crew have revealed Orlando Pirates target
“Siya sources have revealed that Tandi Mwape, who joined TP Mazembe in 2019, is believed to have surfaced on the radar of the Buccaneers.” Wrote Soccer-Laduma.
“As far as I know, Pirates have been monitoring him (Mwape) and his progress. He is a very good central defender. He is a regular for both club and country and would fit very well into the Pirates system. I can’t say much on how and when he would be travelling to South Africa but let’s wait for the off-season then we can see what happens after” a source said to the same publication
Mwape, who is only 26 years old, had previously played for the Green Eagles and the Kwabe Warriors in his home Zambia.
