Orlando Pirates Football Club have been known as one of the biggest clubs In South AfriCA and without a doubt there a many big expectations within the club for players who sign contracts with the club as the club still wanna challenge for the treble in the 2023/24 Premier Soccer League where they will compete for the Nedbank Cup,Dstv Premiership,MTN8 and the official Carling Cup trophy which has replaced the Telkom Knockout Cup.
Orlando Pirates have seen their bid accepted for Marumo Gallants winger Katlego Otladisa.
The 26-year-old winger has enjoyed a career revival over the past two seasons at Gallants after previously after injuries severely stalled his career trajectory.
He burst onto the scene with the now-defunct Platinum Stars back in 2018 which earned him a move to Mamelodi Sundowns under then-coach Pitso Mosimane, but he arrived with a leg break suffered at the age of 21.
After struggling to break into the set-up at Masandawana, which included three separate loans to Dikwena, Cape Umoya United and Ajax Cape Town before eventually being released.
Gallants then offered him a return to football and he’s not looked back, becoming a regular feature in over the past two seasons, racking up 79 appearances.
His performances attracted interest from AmaZulu, Sekhukhune United, Royal AM, and Pirates, but the Soweto giants have acted swiftly to agree a fee with the relegated outfit who are looking to cash in on their most prized assets.
The player who is believed to have already discussed personal terms with Pirates is set to sign officially with the Soweto giants in the coming days.
According to a source,there were rumors that Kaizer Chiefs Football Club were also Interested in signing Katlego Otladisa as a replacement for Khama Billiat who might leave at the end of the season in the Kaizer Chiefs Squad but there has been changes that he will not leave the Kaizer Chiefs Football Club since the deal with Katlego Otladisa Collapsed.
Katlego Otladisa will now sign a 3years deal with Orlando Pirates Football Club with an option to extend as the club still wants to keep him for more seasons.
According to a source,Katlego Otladisa will sign a contract that states that he will not have a loan deal with any Club after he signs with Orlando Pirates Football Club and he will be staying at the club until his contract ends after 3 years.
Katlego Otladisa will arrive in the Orlando Pirates team in the start of the 2023/24 season.
