Ben Motshwari’s future with Orlando Pirates has reportedly been determined, and he might soon join a PSL rivals.
Despite being nearing the end of his contract, Motshwari joined the Pirates in 2018 and has since established himself as a key player on the Buccaneers team.
The idea that Motshwari from SuperSport United would be in demand has been floating around for a while. The 32-year-old has been particularly added to Gavin Hunt’s club’s want list for the upcoming season as they look to improve their midfield depth, according to a recent SABC Sport piece.
There have been rumors that contract negotiations between Pirates and the seasoned player have stalled. Although there have been links to Chiefs in the past, it now seems that a move to SuperSport may be in the best interests of all sides.
The playmaker and coach Gavin Hunt might be reunited should this happen.
“He (Motshwari) is okay with everything, he knows that he served Pirates really well and if they don’t want him he can’t do anything about it,” a source is quoted as saying in an article on Phakaaathi. “There is no way that he can stay at the club and not get as much game time as he would like. He thinks playing for Hunt will be good for him plus they have a very good understanding. SuperSport is a good team and they have a very good squad, he will fit in nicely there.”
While the Pirates have their sights set on a number of important players, certain exits from the larger squad are also anticipated.
But if pirates were serious they were going to keep Ben motswari, makhaula, Timmy and mosele atleast relise , makaringe, makgaga
Since he had a problem with his girlfriend,Ncikazi took it personal and we all know that Ben is very good, better than all pirates midfielders, now happy ll be supersport or chiefs
