Outspoken Zamalek president Mortada Mansour previously claimed that he was “in talks” with Mosimane’s agent and wife Moira Tlhagale about signing the South African tactician, while he was still in charge of bitter rivals Al Ahly.
Amid rumours over Mosimane’s stint at Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli Jeddah coming to an end, Zamalek had again been linked with the serial winner.
However, this time Mansour himself dismissed the rumours himself, addressing the topic on his YouTube channel.
“Juan Carlos Osorio will remain in his position,” he said, as per Kingfut.
“There is no truth to the rumors about the negotiations with Hossam Hassan or Pitso Mosimane.
“The technical committee does not have the right to speak with anyone without referring to the board of directors.”
Mosimane secured Al Ahli’s promotion from the Yelo League (First Division) to the Saudi Pro League with four games to spare and won the league title – his 19th career trophy – with one game to spare.
However, despite waking up the “sleeping giant” Al Ahli Jeddah, who had been relegated for the first time in their 86-year-long history, it seems the club’s leadership would prefer to go with an European coach into the 2023/24 season.
It is rumoured that they will not activate an option in Mosimane’s current deal, with club president Walid Moaz confirming the club will make a decision on the coach after their final league match against Al-Hazem on 29 May, but also cryptically stating “the ambition is greater”.
So far there were also rumours that the South African biggest Football Club which is Kaizer Chiefs Football Club were interested in signing a contract with Coach Pitso Mosimane as their 2023/24 Dstv Premiership season which Pitso won a numerous times and has also been voted as the best coach in African Football.
According to a source,Pitso Mosimane stated that if it happens that he goes back to South Africa and continue his Football coaching career he feels like it will be a downgrade to him because he has to still explore around the world and work with numerous European Football Clubs such as Leicester City and also Everton.
The Al Ahli Management feels that Coach Pitso Mosimane is not the right coach to lead them in the Saudi Pro League which they are gonna play next season because his qualities are not so good and they believe that if they can have someone with a European style of play the team will improve in the Saudi Pro League.
According to a source,Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club are also interested in bringing back coach pitso Mosimane back the Mamelodi Sundowns team where he made history by winning many trophies and also the Continental cup which is the Caf Champions League and also went onto win the Caf Super Cup that made Mamelodi Sundowns have a star in their shirt for the First time in their history.
Al ahli will now decide on what is next on Pitso Mosimane’s Contract since there has been many offer from big clubs in Europe that wants to win trophies.
