A PSL winger possible move has just taken another U – turn as he is set to joing Mamelodi Sundowns FC, according to the latest rumours.
On Saturday, it was reported by different publications that Capetown City FC left footed winger Khanyisa Mayo is set and ready to be part of Kaizer Chiefs FC part. The different publications confirmed that the deal was reached by both parties as he was expected to join Chiefs and sign a three years or more co contract.
Unfortunately, another rumours from the same publications can reveal that Mayo had attracted interested in Gauteng province teams but Mamelodi Sundowns FC is now leading the race.
Kaizer Chiefs FC was looking forward to strengthen their squad by adding Mayo, who is one of the best in the country according to statistics. Chiefs also signed Mdudusi Mdantsane, a midfielder from the very same team (Capetown City FC).
At the moment, Kaizer Chiefs FC are now focusing on getting Stellenbosch FC winger and team player Junior Mendieta. However they are expected to break the bank and pay twelve millions Rand (R12 000 000.00). It was confirmed by Stellenbosch FC officials that any team that want to sign Mendieta from them must pay the money mentioned above (R12 000 000.00).
Moreover, Mamelodi Sundowns FC also showed an interest on signing Junior Mendieta. Kaizer Chiefs FC rivals Orlando Pirates FC, are also on the race of signing him. At the moment, rumours have it that Orlando Pirates FC is the time leading on signing Junior Mendieta. However, Kaizer Chiefs FC relationship with Stellenbosch FC when it comes to signings is very good, according to the analysis.
For example, Chiefs signed two players with affordable amount for The Stellies before the season start. Both Ashely Du Preez and Zitha Kwinika are former Stellenbosch FC players. This is one of the things that will give Amakhosi fans hope that they get Mendieta.
Amakhosi will be looking forward to strengthening their squad, because their ambition is to play in CAF champions league this year. The current squad might embarass them, as analysers believe they are totally failing to compete with other teams.
Apart from that, Kaizer Chiefs FC are also on the race of signing Golden Arrows winger Pule Mmodi. He is one of the players that might move to Chiefs at the end of the season. His contract with his current club will expire at the end of the season.
