Kaizer Chiefs FC has been playing more than five games under the newly appointed interim coach, Cavin Johnson.
Many football analysers, have been sharing their views. Some are analysing Kaizer Chiefs FC as a team, some are analysing the coach while some are analysing players individually. One of our top game analysers Senzo Sambo, has analysed Kaizer Chiefs FC, and you will enjoy his analysis.
He started first by analysing Kaizer Chiefs FC midfielder issues. Here is what he has said;
“Edson Castillo as a number six. Breaking up play by just sitting in front of the defense and initiating attack also moving box to box to get us those goals.
“Nkosingphile Ngcobo as a number eight, neing our source of press resistant when we come out of a press and control in midfield in terms of all our moves ending up in the opponents box, this thing of our attacks ending up with us playing long balls. Nkosingphile Ngcobo forming the triangles in midfield and combining the team in all areas of the pitch. Good free flowing football with Nkosingphile Ngcobo being the system.
“Mduduzi Shabalala or Mdantsane as a number ten. With Mduduzi Shabalala playing just behind the front three putting those passes,chipping the ball, through balls and also silky touches including backheels to open up the opponents low block and get behind them. Mduduzi Shabalala showing composure and arrogance as an a number ten taking on players and making sure our movement is always ending inside the box.
“Then let everything flow. Then if you lead with probably a goal you can bring Maart for Mdu then move Mshini to number eight still with Maart doubling up as double six with Castillo.The reason is for ball retention which is Nkosingphile Ngcobo’s strength so that we are able to control the game even under pressure.
“This is possible if the coach tries it this is possible if the fans calls for it.
Then we let everything flow.” Senzo Sambo said.
Apart from that, he also mentioned that Edson Castillo’s game is no longer the performance fans know.
“Edson Castillo’s game has declined and i blame the coaching. If you watch football beyond the goals he scores, you will realize that he is no longer the Castillo who was playing incisive passes with ease.
“Nowadays he runs around like a headless chicken, bad passes and never plays those line breaking passes. When the goal are no longer coming, the supporters will turn against him not realising that Castillo’s overall game has been dropping game by game. Against Orlando Pirates FC not even one key pass yet he was playing advanced i was shocked.” – he ended his analysis.
