There has been a busy registration or transfer period at Kaizer Chiefs FC now. We have seen players joining Chiefs while other being released and joining other teams of their choices.
Kaizer Chiefs FC management has announced new nine players this period. Those players include Edson Castillo, Tebogo Potsane, Pule Mmodi and others. However, as we reported days ago, Kaizer Chiefs FC has been pushing hard behind the doors to get Mamelodi Sundowns FC midfielder Gaston Serino. However, there is a latest interesting update on Serino.
According to the latest rumours from Masiu Media social media newspaper, Serino has rejected a top Soweto team even though he wants to leave Mamelodi Sundowns FC. The report from Masiu Media reveals that Serino was offered to Moroka Swallows FC, on a loan agreement by Mamelodi Sundowns FC. Unfortunately, Serino rejected it.
It has also been reported by the same publication that Serino wants to play for Chiefs in South Africa. Even Chiefs is interested on signing in him. Rumours also reveal that he is a wanted man outside South Africa to a team that will be mentioned soon.
Lastly, the rumours suggest Mamelodi Sundowns FC want to release Serino, only if he is not joining Kaizer Chiefs FC and Orlando Pirates FC.
In other news, Kaizer Chiefs FC announced the signing of former Stellenbosch FC midfielder, Sibongiseni Mthethwa. Chiefs is also expected to announce Luke Fleurs.
Luke Fleurs was about to reach the final 6 months of his contract with Supersport, Kaizer Chiefs approached them to buy him even though he was so close to reach that final 6 months to sign a pre-contract with Chiefs. What did they do? They forced a player to renew his contract by further 3 years so that he come to us.
Ever since then we’ve never seen him playing football. Not even on the bench because he told them straight that he wants to go to Chiefs, but they stopped him and Chiefs went for the best defender in the league ‘Ditlhokwe’. Fleurs been requesting to leave & finally he has left.. see greed ? Now they had to pay him termination fee.
But the point here is that, Kaizer Chiefs are still interested in Luke Fleurs after selling Ngezana to Europe. It remains to be seen what’s gonna happen. If a decision is quickly made, he’d be a Kaizer Chiefs player by Friday.
Kaizer Chiefs FC will be playing against Mamelodi Sundowns FC this weekend in a MTN 8 cup second leg.
