It has finally been discovered on why did Supersport United head coach Gavin Hunt reacted the way he did after the appointing of Molefi Ntseki as a Kaizer Chiefs FC head coach.
Before the current season starts, Kaizer Chiefs FC appointed head coach Molefi Ntseki as a head coach, and the last season head coach Arthur Zwane, was demoted. Hunt made a tweet on his Twitter handle, by saying “yah neh” followed by laughing imoji. Most of the football fans were left frustrated on why Hunt did so. Some fans were saying he said that because Ntseki is not a good coach to lead Chiefs and decided to react the way he did.
However, the discovery made look otherwise. It has been reported that Hunt was laughing Zwane on his demotion. The reason is that it is rumoured that Arthur Zwane has been sabotaging former Kaizer Chiefs FC head coach inducing Hunt. After realising that fans are frustrated because of his tweet, Hunt later deleted it.
As a reminder, Molefi Ntseki is assisted by Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sherpard at the moment.
Apart from the news above, here are the analysis from Calvary Best of Chiefs page admin on Kaizer Chiefs FC VS Mamelodi Sundowns FC game:
Credit to the coach & the players for planning properly & applying themselves properly, We gave them a good fight, did not park the bus, created chances & fought till the last minute. Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do when referees decide to be part of a fight & choose a side.
We Setup a 4-3-3 with a 6 & double 8s. We deployed a well organised press with the front 3 & double 8s closing pockets behind them. We pressed as a group, intercepted a lot of balls, denied them comfortability to play/build from the back as usual. Which worked very well for us.
We are an improved team in many aspects, a Mid 3 with Matlou functions because he gave us shape, more ball progression, good press, he’s a carrier mid & used as an outlet in most cases. Shocking how he’s able to play in pockets & also be able to close pocket channels as well to prevent opponents from exploiting them. at some point Zwane & Allende did not function because Matlou with the front 3 gave them a good fight.
For a very longest time I’ve always wanted sense of agency at Chiefs! Matlou gave us that, everything with him & Du Preez was quick! We need players who understand that we’re here to play/we’re trailing behind. Not playing like it hurts. He takes the crown as an outlet, he played more defense splitting passes, he waits for perfect moments to pass the ball, he doesn’t just release the ball and trust the Lord. his long balls are accurate, was just unfortunate not to get an assist.
I think we still lack self-confidence. We have more ball carriers in the team but it’s just fear letting us down. Which leads to wrong decision making, not being switched on at times & rush of blood that we miss so many chances. Confidence is still a problem in our team. It gets worse when you play against a side that’s kicking you, pulling your jerseys more than once and so on. Potsane is one of the skillful players we have & he’s capable, but confidence is still a thing.
Petersen’s & defense mistakes are costly & I wish they can be fixed. The defense’s lack of respecting crucial time of the game is growing. We usually concede goals in dying minutes of the match which shows lack of concentration & neglecting responsibility. Defenders need to take full responsibility or accountability for that…
No offense but Msimango is a bit shaky at the back. I mentioned it last time that he gets caught at times & lack of sense agency, there’s a frame here I highlighted him jogging after a set piece. As a CB you must run your socks off when your goal is under attack & not protected. Blaming Hlanti for a 2nd goal is not being fair, He was at full sprint & was forced to turn where as Shalulile already anticipated the ball & there was nothing Hlanti could have done except for committing a penalty & red card. but we should’ve defended well as a team. Especially Defenders because mostly it was attackers running to help.
Castillo’s mobility was limited, He drifted more on the side to help ease overloads on Hlanti’s sides. And usually when he’s there he makes a lot of late deep runs & blind runs. Shifting him on the sides is meant to move him away from being targeted especially against Referees FC that are very good in the middle, that’s when he’s supposed to play more passes & long balls in the box. Didn’t seem to work that much though. I still say, I’m okay with Stillo as a 6, that’s it.
Ashley deserves to be appreciated. He does everything it’s just that finishing lets him down at times. But he’s a striker to score goals, he’s a winger to supply & create goals, taking set pieces & helping us to mark in crucial areas & moments.
I know a lot already complain with González. Yes he didn’t have much to do but for the past matches he has played he has done well. He’s a point of reference, a box striker. But can he really just stay in the box & help the goalkeeper to keep him company & tell each other funny stories? No. He has to drop deep whether in the middle or sides, but gonna be a good point of reference. Points of reference are used to hold up play, like how Nurkovic was used to play long balls to him, waits for other attackers then release…
And I’ve seen that countless times with Efmamjjasond González, it’s not only about goals. And as a No.9, your other job is distract defenders & shift them to position of your choice to create spaces for second strikers. He did that very well. Also when he came on, there were hopes that our fullbacks & Stillo were gonna deliver long balls in the box for him, but how many of those we saw? Very not good enough. There’s room for improvement though and I will be patient with him. Maybe only pace of the team/league he needs to adjusts to.
Credit to the young boy Shabalala, he puts up a very good fight. Big up to Saile who brought the spike & changed the game. He showed them he’s a beast! He’s improved a lot & he knows what to do with the ball. Thank God I was patient with him like I’m patient with other players and the coach. Mart did all he can, the whole team functioned and I’d love to see us continue with such good performances! We’ll get there Makhosi Amahle.
10 goal attempts, 6 on target, 300 passes against Referees FC? Shows big improvement for me, Ntseki is doing something right. And for the 3rd time they conceded against us, we’re the only team able to score against them. Credit to our structure because I don’t remember them breaking us in the middle/defense on open play. They only relied on long balls & our mistakes.
Coach Ntseki is doing something good with 10 new players, knocked out by the referees and I will be patient with him.
