Two first team members of Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly being pursued by a rival DStv Premiership team!
Two Mamelodi Sundowns first team players are reportedly on AmaZulu FC’s January transfer wishlist. Masandawana have a wealth of talent, but naturally, not everyone can perform at once.
AmaZulu, a rival DStv Premiership team, is pursuing two extremely gifted players who are having difficulty making a name for themselves in the Capital. According to reports, midfielder Sammy Seabi and defender Sifiso Ngobeni may soon be traveling to KwaZulu-Natal!
“SABC Sport has established that AmaZulu have added the Mamelodi Sundowns duo of defender Sifiso Ngobeni and midfielder Sammy Seabi to their January wishlist.” A SABC SPORT report read.
“Sundowns could be swayed to letting the two players leave Chloorkop on loan this month, considering the pair have been starved of game time since the start of the 2023/24 season.”
In July 2020, Sifiso Ngobeni, a player for Bloemfontein Celtic, signed a five-year contract to join Mamelodi Sundowns. In August 2019, Sammy Seabi signed a contract with Mamelodi Sundowns. In October 2020, he went on loan to Moroka Swallows. He went on loan to Chippa United in the summer of 2021 to play for the 2021–2022 season. He is currently on loan at Sekhukhune United.
At his position, Sfiso Ngobeni is filling in for people like Aubrey Modiba, Divine Lunga, and Terrence Mashego.
Coach Rhulani Mokwena says they need to be consistent.
“I’m not worried. We are number 1 in our Champions League group, and everyone is talking and making ‘hoo-ha’. We are number 1 in the league, even with the difficult schedule we have.” – Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena told SuperSport.
“So really, when I look at what we’ve done in the first round of the season, you’ve got to appreciate what this group of players has done. In every single match they give incredible effort. And you are not entitled to win.
