The latest update regarding Kaizer Chiefs FC fans favourite attacking midfielder George Lehlohonolo Matlou has been shared.

Matlou who has won Amakhosi fans hearts joined Chiefs from Moroka Swallows FC and his contract will expire at the end of the season. However, it has been reported that the management is interested on renewing his contract with the mentioned years below.

According to the latest reports from different publications, fans’ favourite George Matlou has been offered a new contract by Kaizer Chiefs. It’s rumoured to be a 3 year contract. He was offered a week or two ago, on my previous post I wanted to find out from you Amakhosi faithful how do you feel about his situation.

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki has once again embraced the pressure he’s under, albeit implying he’s unfairly suffering for the sins of previous poor seasons.

“I think we started this season with so much pressure, especially coming from the previous seasons, not only from last season,” Ntseki said during a media conference at the league’s headquarters in Parktown yesterday.

“Yes, the pressure comes from yesterday, not necessarily today, because of the history of the club, the background of the club … but when you take this position, you have to know that there’ll be pressure and I welcome that.

“Even when I was appointed as Bafana coach, I was fully aware of the pressure that came with that position and with this one it’s the same but you can’t relegate yourself to a loser when you know you’ve got the capabilities and the knowledge to turn things around.

Apart from that, Moroka Swallows FC coach Steve Komphela predicts that Mamelodi Sundowns may struggle later in the season due to the number of matches they will play.

“I feel very sorry [for them], the schedule is going to be crazy,” Komphela told the media yesterday during the Carling press conference in Parktown.

“At the back of that schedule, you have to travel. And you know how difficult it is to be travelling on the continent.

“Then it goes to the depth of the squad. Yes, there is indeed depth in the squad, but there is also chemistry because as soon as you change one or two players, it does reflect in the team’s performance and dynamics.

“If the schedule is too heavy, they will feel the pinch. “They will be tired and all that, so it becomes a responsibility of whichever teams in the premiership are ready to stay fresh to compete and win, they have a chance.

“Other teams stand a chance now; I wonder if they will play 40 to 50 matches without showing any signs of fatigue. It’s going to be interesting, but I feel for their technical team.”
