Kaizer Chiefs may be about to land their eight signing of the transfer window, if the rumours regarding one of their top targets in the Dstv Premiership.
Chiefs are believed to be battling quite a few clubs for the signature of Maritzburg United playmaker Rowan Human.
Maritzburg United may have been relegated from the DStv Premiership last season, but it seems like certain players have done enough to attract topflight clubs. One of those players is Human, with links initially surfacing two months ago, of Chiefs interest in the player. At the time, there was hope from their side that they could secure his signature on a free, before they learnt that the KZN club had exercised their option to extend his deal for another season.
Pirates then joined the chase for Human, and this publication also reported that, they were in talks with Maritzburg to do a double deal for both the 22-year-old and his partner in crime Karim Kimvuidi. The links to Chiefs started to subside around that time, but out of nowhere, the player started commenting about how open he would be to joining Amakhosi. On top of that, he revealed that he is in constant contact with the club vice-captain Keagan Dolly who hails from his neighbourhood.
Earlier this week, this publication reported that Maritzburg had set the price for Human to R10 million. Club chairman Farouk Kadodia then also made it know that an announcement on which club the Bafana Bafana star will join, will be made on Thursday, but the day came and went without an official announcement. But now according to Austin Ditlhobolo of goal.com RSA Chiefs are in the lead for the player and it is matter of a club to club agreement being reached.

Rowan Human has been known as one of the best young players in the Dstv Premiership because in his first season at Maritzburg United he was given the famous Jersey which is the number 10.
