What made Kaizer Chiefs annoyed by Nike.

SSNews has understood why Kaizer Chiefs Sponsorship Deal with Nike is hanging in balance and it’s rumoured it’s more than just about the figures Nike is proposing.

SSFootballNews has it on good authority that Kaizer Chiefs relationship with Nike has been getting poor and poor in the past 3years after Nike failed to honour a wish by the Chairman to make Kaizer Chiefs Anniversary Limited T-Shirts to be available as they were selling thick and fast which cost the Club alot in Merchandise revenue.

According to our sources Nike claimed that they do not have enough resources to make more jerseys when the request was made by Kaizer Chiefs despite Kaizer Chiefs Marketing department being the one who designed the Jersey.

A few months later it happened that Nike created a similar jersey for Spain Giants Barcelona which irritated the Kaizer Chiefs Marketing teams as Nike was dishonest and we are told ever since Kaizer Chiefs have not been happy with their partnership with Nike.

Kaizer Chiefs are set to part ways with the Nike Brand after 21Years which will be a big blow to Nike as the Soweto Giants are the third most Supported Club in the African Continent which will indeed affect fhsir presence in the African Market when it comes to Sport branding.

Nike and Kaizer Chiefs are set to have their last sitting to try and mend talks before anything is escalated as more than 4 big brands have come forward and expressed desire to represent and Sponsor the Club
