As we all know that Kaizer Chiefs FC moved some of their home games from the well known FNB stadium to Peter Mokaba stadium. You might be asking yourself what was the reason behind that decision.
In case you missed the reason that was behind all this, this post will cover you. According to Kaizer Chiefs FC marketing director Jessica Motaung, the reason was maybe they will lift a trophy in Peter Mokaba stadium.
“We are delighted to be back in the province of Limpopo and the city of Polokwane in particular, where we enjoy great support.” Jessica told the Chiefs website.
“We are looking forward to three exciting games with a full stadium. We know that the people of Limpopo will come out in numbers because they love Amakhosi.
“Their support proved key in the past when we lifted the league trophy with the New Peter Mokaba as our home venue.
“We hope that history will be repeated when we play at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium again. We believe in long-term agreements.
The marketing director Jessica Motaung, confirmed that Chiefs will be in Polokwane [Peter Mokaba] for three years.
“And being in Polokwane for three years means Kaizer Chiefs will be working with the municipality to achieve our goals or promoting sport, particularly football in the city.”
The three games that Kaizer Chiefs FC move them to Peter Mokaba are;
1. Royal AM (already played, they won 2-0).
2. Golden Arrows (18 February 2023).
3. Swallows FC (02 May 2023).
Apart from that, according to the reports, Kaizer Chiefs FC will make between R1 million and R3 millon in those three games each.
“This paper has it on good authority that Kaizer Chiefs would make anything between R1-million and R3-million a match at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium, plus accommodation and transport costs.” the report, said.
Kaizer Chiefs FC will visit TS Galaxy tomorrow in Mbombela stadium. The kick off is 15 hrs 30 min.
